Lunch and Milk

Summer Term Menu 2024

IMPORTANT NOTE: Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the menu is delivered accurately on a daily basis, it is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances on some occasions.  We thank you for your understanding.

We expect all children from Reception to Year 6 to have their lunch in school.

Children can choose to bring a packed lunch or have a cooked meal provided by the school.  The school meals are cooked to a high standard on the school site.  The children are offered a choice of hot meals - a meat/fish or vegetarian option.  We also have an 'eat as much as you like' salad bar!

An up-to-date menu can be found above.  If you are unsure about any of the items on the menu - please speak to a member of the office staff.

Your child will be entitled to a free cooked meal provided by the school, following the Government's Universal Free School Meal scheme.

Please note that your child must stick with either having a packed lunch or school meal for the whole half term and cannot change from one to the other except at the beginning of each half term.

Parent Pay

Your child will receive a letter containing activation details shortly after they start at Chatsworth. If you require any help regarding Parent Pay, please call the school office on 020 8560 6018.

Below are helpsheets that can offer guidance on some of the most frequently asked questions when setting up a Parent Pay account, making payments and making meal selections.

Our School Milk Scheme

All children can register to receive milk on a daily basis.  By registering your child for our school milk scheme they will receive a 189ml (third of a pint) carton of semi-skimmed milk every day. This is delivered fresh and chilled to their classroom every day.

“How much does it cost?”
Thanks to government subsidies, school milk is free for all under-fives and is subsided at around £15 a term for children aged five or older.

“Why should I register my child?”
School milk provides your child with essential nutrients such as calcium and protein, for strong, healthy teeth and bones. It is also rehydrating and energy boosting, helping to bridge the long gap between breakfast and lunch so children stay focused.

“How do I register my child?”

If your child is under five-

1. Go to www.coolmilk.com or pick up a form from school.

2. Just register by a Tuesday for your child’s free milk to start the following week.
