Reception Admissions

Children can join our Reception classes in the September following their 4th birthday. So, if your child was born between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020 they are eligible for Reception class in September 2024.

Key dates for September 2024 admission:

• 1 September 2023 - Applications open
• 15 January 2024 - Closing date for applications
• 16 April 2024 - National offer day

If your child is allocated a place at Chatsworth Primary School, we will contact you with information about the next stage of the process.

We understand your child's entry into their Reception year may feel somewhat daunting, often more so for parents and carers than the children, and with this in mind we have a number of events which will help familiarise you and your child with our school environment and Reception staff: home visit, parent/carer information meetings and an opportunity for you and your child to have a fun and informal play session in school.
