Art Week Spring Term 2016: Digital Media
Year 1 have been writing their own versions of 'Jack and the Beanstalk'.
The children dramatized scenes from the story whilst others practised drawing them in their sketchbooks. They worked to draw their stance and expression on the character's faces.
They went on to draw scenes from the story using the Paint.net programme.
Children in Year 2 are learning about the 'Wonderful World of Roald Dahl'.
After investigating the work of legendary children's illustrator Quentin Blake the children practised drawing characters from Dahl's 'Matilda'.
They went on to use the digital art programme 'Paint.net' to fill their character illustrations with colour and pattern.
Year 5 built sets from Dahl's 'Matilda' and went on to work with digital artist Amy Pennington to create short stop motion animations.
Year 6 also worked with Amy Pennington to animate their book covers for Morpurgo's 'Kensuke's Kingdom'.
