Reminders

Uniform

Please refer to the uniform guidance on the website.  We have noticed some KS2 children without ties and incorrect trainers are also being worn.

Dogs on Site

Can I please remind you to not bring dogs onto the school site unless they are ‘registered assistance’ dogs.  This includes the driveway area leading up to the gates.

Phones

Just a reminder that pupils should not be bringing mobile phones on site at present.  Once forms are sent out and permissions given, Year 6 children will be permitted but must hand their device in at the start of the day.

Lunches

Our chef cooks delicious and nutritious meals for our children every day. The meals are cooked to a high standard on the school site. Children are offered a choice of hot meals – a meat/fish or vegetarian option, side option and dessert.  Alternatively, you may prefer for your child to bring a packed lunch in to school from home - please see our packed lunch policy on our website under Parents - Lunch and Milk.

In Key Stage 1, school meals are FREE for ALL children from Reception to Year 6, provided by the school, following the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meal scheme (UiFSM).

Families who receive certain benefits may be eligible for ‘Free School Meals’ (FSM) entitlement

An up to date menu and more information about Free School Meals (FSM) can be found on the school website under Parents – Lunch and Milk.

Please remember - your child’s choice of either School Lunch or Packed Lunch will need to remain the same until the October half term. You will only be able to swap from one to the other at the start of next half term.

Class Representatives

The Class Reps do an amazing job of filtering concerns and issues back to us and sharing general and more urgent messages from the school, sometimes out of hours.  If you would like to be a Class Rep or join together to support your current Rep, please contact the class teacher with your full name, class name, email and telephone number so I can share this information with the other Reps.  Once I have the full list of names, I will share this with the community.

Food Bank

As the cost of living crisis continues to affect the community, we are continuing with the Chatsworth Food Bank.  If you require support from the food bank, please email parents@chatsworth.hounslow.sch.uk.  We would also like to say a very big thank you for all the generous donations received.  Mrs Hulford also has a clothes bank on site.  If you need support, please contact her via the office.

Please be aware that we must reserve the Banks for the most in-need amongst our School Community first.

Payments to School

Since we broke up for the summer, the cost of living crisis has deepened and we recognise that this will have hit most families quite hard over the last few weeks and months.  Whilst monies owed to the school still need to be settled, please contact us if you are having difficulties so that we can try to help.  If we do not hear from you, we will need to try to recover the debt and that may mean legal proceedings.

Wellies Wanted

As part of our on-going green journey at Chatsworth, we are asking for wellie boot donations to support our Outdoor Learning and gardening activities.   If you have any unwanted children's wellie boots we would appreciate it if you would let us give them a new home here at school. Please hand them to your child's class teacher (in a plastic bag*) who will be happy to pass them on.

*all plastic bags will be responsibly repurposed, reused or recycled.

Sickness

A reminder please that if your child has suffered from vomiting or diarrhea, they must not return to school for 48 hours.  This is national guidance.  Please help to reduce further illness in the school by keeping your child at home.

E-voucher

In the newsletter, please find attached an e-voucher for QS Learning, a tuition company in our own community.  QS Learning will be paying the school £20 for every parent who presents this voucher to them at the time of joining.
