World Book Day - Dress Up Day
Thu 07 Mar 2019We are asking both staff and children to go wild and dress up as their favourite book character. We will be asking children to briefly talk in class about their character and why they chose them. In addition, there will be a prize for the best dressed child in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, which will be presented in World Book Day assembly. Please do not feel that you have to spend a great deal of money on costumes: home made ones are often the best. If you need any advice or ideas, please speak to your class teacher.

OFSTED inspection
Mon 04 Mar 2019I was contacted by OFSTED today to tell me an OFSTED inspection will take place tomorrow and Wednesday! We were delighted to hear this as we have waited a long time to be able to show the inspectors what a great school Chatsworth really is.
OFSTED have asked me to forward a letter to you explaining what the inspection process involves. I will also be in the playground on Tuesday morning to answer any questions you may have.
Please can I ask you to read the letter and complete the survey. The more people who go online to take the survey, the better picture OFSTED will have of our school.

Railway Safety
Tue 22 Jan 2019This week we are reminding the children about railway safety. Living so close to a major railway line, we need to ensure the children understand about staying safe when using the railway and also remind them about the dangers of trespassing on the railway line.
We watched several videos, prepared by Network Rail, that are appropriate for the age of the children and drive home the safety message.
Have a look at the links to some of the videos for Key Stage Two pupils (you will need to scroll down to the TV advertisement campaign section).
