Lunch and Milk

* If you child is returning to school during the phased reopening after lockdown, please scroll down to the relevant section.

We expect all children from Reception to Year 6 to have their lunch in school.  Many parents and carers choose to buy a school meal for their child, or take advantage of the Universal Free School Meals offered in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

The meals are cooked to a high standard on the school site.  The children are offered a choice of hot meals - a meat/fish or vegetarian option.  We also have an 'eat as much as you like' salad bar!

An up-to-date menu can be found above.  If you are unsure about any of the items on the menu - please speak to the office staff.

If your child is in Key Stage One (Reception, Year 1 or Year 2) they will be entitled to a free cooked meal provided by the school, following the Government's Universal Free School Meal scheme.  Children in these year groups are able to change from packed lunch to a school lunch and vice versa at the start of each half term only.

Children in Key Stage Two (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) can choose to have either a packed lunch of school lunch daily.  Lunches will need to be paid for daily with cash once the children enter the dining hall.  The current cost for a school lunch is £2.30 a day.  Please ensure your child has a purse or wallet to keep their money in.  It will need to be clearly labelled with their name and preferably have a zip pocket for coins.

Please ensure that packed lunches are packed in a named lunch bag and there are no chocolates, sweets, nut products or fizzy drinks included.

Lunch during phased reopening of school after lockdown & Parent Pay

All children returning to school during this period will be expected to have a school meal - no packed lunches will be allowed.  Alistair, our new chef, has been cooking wonderful nutritious and delicious meals for our key worker children and the staff since March.  A copy of the menu can be found above.

No cash should be brought into school. Parents of children who pay for their meals in Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) will be using Parent Pay.  If you require an activation letter or any help regarding Parent Pay, please call the school office on 020 8560 6018.

Below are two helpsheets that can offer guidance on some of the most frequently asked questions when setting up a Parent Pay account and making payments.

Our School Milk Scheme

All children can register to receive milk on a daily basis.  By registering your child for our school milk scheme they will receive a 189ml (third of a pint) carton of semi-skimmed milk every day. This is delivered fresh and chilled to their classroom every day.

“How much does it cost?”
Thanks to government subsidies, school milk is free for all under-fives and is subsided at around £15 a term for children aged five or older.

“Why should I register my child?”
School milk provides your child with essential nutrients such as calcium and protein, for strong, healthy teeth and bones. It is also rehydrating and energy boosting, helping to bridge the long gap between breakfast and lunch so children stay focused.
